Introduction： 白细胞介素21（IL-21）是一种蛋白质，是由IL21基因编码的。白细胞介素21是一种细胞因子，对免疫系统的细胞有强大的调节作用，包括自然杀伤（NK）细胞和细胞毒性T细胞，可以摧毁病毒感染或癌细胞。IL-21表达于人活化的CD4+T细胞，但在其他大多数组织中并没有表达。此外，IL-21在辅助性T细胞亚群Th2和Th17细胞以及滤泡性T细胞中表达上调。而且IL-21还表达于调控这些细胞功能的NKT细胞中。 这种细胞因子在其目标细胞中诱导细胞分裂/增生。
