Introduction： 低密度脂蛋白受体(LDLR)属于低密度脂蛋白受体基因家族。该基因位于19号染色体的19p13.2带，分为18个外显子。外显子1包含一个信号序列，将受体定位到内质网，以便运输到细胞表面。除此之外，外显子2-6编码配体结合区；7-14编码表皮生长因子（EGF）域；15编码富含寡糖的区域；16（和17的一部分）编码跨膜区域；18（和17的其余部分）编码细胞膜域。它是一种由839个氨基酸组成的镶嵌蛋白（去除21个氨基酸的信号肽后），它介导富含胆固醇的LDL的内吞作用。它是一个细胞表面的受体，能识别嵌入低密度脂蛋白颗粒外磷脂层的载脂蛋白B100。该受体还能识别乳糜微粒残余物和VLDL残余物（IDL）中的apoE蛋白。它在支气管上皮细胞和肾上腺及皮质组织中表达最为明显。
