Introduction： 神经生长因子(NGF)是一种神经营养因子和神经肽，主要参与调节某些目标神经元的生长、维持、增殖和生存。它可能是典型的生长因子，因为它是最早被描述的因子之一。自从1956年诺贝尔奖获得者丽塔-莱维-蒙塔尔奇尼和斯坦利-科恩首次将其分离出来后，许多涉及NGF的生物过程已经被确认，其中两个是胰岛β细胞的生存和免疫系统的调节。NGF在表达时最初是以7S、130kDa的复合物形式存在的，包括3种蛋白质--Alpha-NGF、Beta-NGF和Gamma-NGF（2：1：2的比例）。这种形式的NGF也被称为proNGF（NGF前体）。该复合物的γ亚基作为一种丝氨酸蛋白酶，裂解β亚基的N端，从而将蛋白质激活为功能性NGF。
