Introduction：	密度: 1.26g/ml 甘油是一种无气味，有暖甜味，能吸潮的无色粘稠液体。可与乙醇、水任意比例混溶，不溶于氯仿、醚、二硫化碳，苯，油类。还可溶解某些无机物。甘油大量用于化妆品，食品，水性印刷油墨，涂料等，主要作保湿剂、保润剂、吸湿剂、润滑剂、柔软剂、软化剂、增稠剂、增塑剂、稀释剂、防冻剂等。由于甘油无毒无味无公害，可作为二甘醇、乙二醇的代用品用于化妆品、食品工业。甘油在分子生物学中应用广泛。在琼脂糖和聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳中，5%-10%的甘油可增加样品的密度，使样品沉降于电泳凝胶孔底部；甘油还可用于长期稳定贮存酶溶液和细菌菌种等实验。高压灭菌后的产品需在无菌环境下使用。
