Appearance (character) 白色或类白色无定形粉末或固体。溶于水，不溶于有机溶剂。水溶液室温下8h内失活。遇热、稀酸、碱、金属等活力降低。由动物血浆分离制得的凝血酶原，再用凝血致活酶和氯化钙激活而成。是一种蛋白水解酶，血浆中的可溶性纤维蛋白原在凝血酶的激活下，转变成不溶性纤维蛋白网状结构，使血液凝固。纤维蛋白原有六条肽链组成，凝血酶的组成是从四条肽链的N端切断一定特定的肽键（—Arg—Gly），放出两个A肽（19肽）和两个B肽（21肽），另二条N端为酷氨酸的肽链没有变化。A肽和B肽切除后，减少了蛋白质分子的负电荷，促进了纤维蛋白分子的直线聚合和侧向聚合，从而形成网状结构的纤维蛋白
